Medical Office Supervisor

We currently have an opening for a Medical Office Supervisor in our Mission Hills office that will also be going to our Santa Clarita office. This person must be a Certified Medical Assistant.
Provide oversight and guidance for staff whose duties include:
Assisting patients to exam rooms and obtain complete and accurate vital signs.
Obtaining and documenting all pertinent information in patient's charts.
Anticipating, assisting and performing procedures ordered by the phone.
Maintain timely patient flow and room availability.
Maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.
Reinforcing patient education and participate in patient teaching.
Stocking and maintaining exam rooms, nursing stations and individual workstations.
Participating in unit duties such as cleaning and sterilizing instruments and ordering supplies.
Maintaining a current, accurate surgical log, procedure log, lab log and patient tickler files, as appropriate.
Maintaining and monitor all equipment used for patient care and testing. Report any discrepancy to supervisor.
Assisting with training and orientation of new personnel.
Actively participating in nursing QI by identifying problems, providing solutions and evaluating outcome.
Ensuring appropriate handling and accurate documentation of all medications ordered by the provider.
Knowledgeable with referral system and ensures accurate and timely follow through with all referrals generated.
Universal precautions utilized in all patient care.
Other duties as assigned.
Direct Responsibility:
Effectively manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage at all assigned staff model clinical sites.
Ensuring a fiscally responsible medical supply ordering process is in place.
Working with Office Manager to ensure staff meets or exceeds the productivity and performance standards, including evaluation, education and feedback per company and departmental policies.
Working with the Office Manager to create a desirable office culture which works efficiently and meets the needs of the employees, physicians and patients.
Provision of staff training as needs identified.
Quality of care and reduction of medical errors through staff assessment of skills and quality controls which meet all regulatory requirements.
Assist with resolution of patient, staff or physician issues as they arise.
Assist with the provision of patient care as needed.
Participate with the leadership team in development of operations to support the functions of the staff model operations.
Development of, data collection for and presentation of reports to support decision making.
Maintenance and oversight of logs to support regulatory requirements.
Training and mentoring of staff
Other duties as assigned

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
