Surgery Scheduler POSITION
Summary:
We are a very busy and popular Surgery Center seeking an experienced Surgery Scheduler that wants to join a dynamic Center with opportunities for growth and rewards for work well done.
Ideal candidate must be friendly, positive, communicative, energetic and enjoy Tetris, puzzles or solving a surgeon or proceduralist most popular question - how to get on the schedule!
Responsibilities:
Fosters good public relations with physicians, physician offices, and patients as necessary.
Participates in in-services and staff meetings within department.
Willing to accept additional responsibilities as directed by the Administrator.
Receives scheduling forms from surgeon's offices and ensures times, procedures, equipment are accurate.
Actively communicates changes in the schedule to all necessary personnel.
Confirms schedules with surgeon offices as needed.
Communicates special item requests, as well as any conflicts to all necessary staff promptly.
Show up to work as scheduled.
Work cooperatively with team and management.
Maintains confidentiality regarding patient information.
Essential Functions:
Counseling patients and scheduling surgeries for multiple physicians.
Must be capable of multi-tasking and working with a diverse patient population.
Provides accurate, timely and responsive information as needed.
Coordinates processes and routes all paperwork as required to meet physician and facility requirements.
Ensures efficient telephone communication.
Documents work processes as required.
Follows all written protocols and procedures of the Clinic.
Demonstrates courtesy and helpfulness toward patients and their families.
Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and management.
Identifies scheduling barriers and implements solutions to improve scheduling results.
MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:
Service oriented work experience in health care Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strict attention to details Excellent organizational and time management skills Good working ethics and ability to treat documents with confidentiality Ability to work effectively as part of a team or individually Fast and accurate data entry Ability to work effectively with medical staff and external agencies.
Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.
Ability to deal courteously and professionally with internal and external customers.
Ability to provide excellent customer service.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
